Massachusetts HIC Registration #213344

New England Renovation Pros is registered with Massachusetts as a Home Improvement Contractor. HIC registration applies to residential home-improvement contracting and gives homeowners important protections under Massachusetts law.

Construction Supervisor License oversight

When a project requires CSL oversight, New England Renovation Pros works with licensed Massachusetts construction supervisors who are assigned to the project and provide the required code supervision. The applicable supervisor and permit information can be provided to the homeowner for verification.

Liability insurance

We carry liability insurance for our work and can provide a current certificate of insurance with your estimate.

Workers’ compensation

Our company carries workers’ compensation coverage for covered workers on our projects. We can provide current documentation so homeowners do not have to rely on verbal assurances.

How to verify any Massachusetts contractor

• Verify the contractor’s active HIC registration and confirm that the business name and registration number match the contract and advertising.
• For work requiring CSL supervision, ask for the licensed supervisor’s name and license number and confirm who will actually supervise the permitted work.
• Ask for current certificates for both liability insurance and workers’ compensation.
• Confirm that required permits are obtained and that the permit identifies the appropriate contractor and licensed supervisor.
• Use a written contract that clearly identifies the parties, HIC registration number, scope, price, payment schedule, permits, and expected start and completion dates.
